Bafana Bafana’s Afcon hopes quashed

Bafana Bafana’s hopes of qualifying for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations went up in smoke after being held to a nil all draw by Cameroon.

South Africa went into Tuesday’s clash against Cameroon fully aware of the need for maximum points in order to revive a faltering campaign.

Despite efforts to grab a much needed goal that would have taken their points tally to 5, Bafana Bafana flattered to deceive as they were held to a nil all draw which left them second from bottom with 3 points and two games to play.

Cameroon are firm contenders to qualify with eight points from two games.
