Can Tinkler dig Pirates out of league mess?

A look at the ABSA Premiership log standings will not make for pleasant reading from an Orlando Pirates perspective. The Pirates executive has been hoping for a change in fortunes in recent weeks but results appear not to be coming.

In Pirates last league meeting, Tinkler was desperate for maximum points but only managed to guide his charges to a 1-1 draw against Platinum Stars.

After the match Tinkler admitted he is under pressure given the sea robbers are placed on 12th position on the 16 team psl standings. Having won just three league games this season, Tinkler is under immense pressure to find a winning formula.

Whether Tinkler can work the Bucaneers up the standings remains to be seen as the Soweto giants faithfuls appear to be slowly losing their patience.
