Marumo Gallants are set to host Kaizer Chiefs in the DSTV Premiership on Sunday afternoon. This match is set to be hosted at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg, North West.

However, the municipality of Polokwane says that this is a breach of their contract. Apparently, this municipality and Gallants entered into an agreement which would see them play all 15 of their home matches at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, in Limpopo.

Kaizer Chiefs Allegedly Paid Marumo Gallants R4 Million to Play in The North West!

The municipality claims that Kaizer Chiefs offered Marumo Gallants R4 million if they would shift the fixture to the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

“While Marumo Gallants appeared not averse to reinstating the match to the Peter Mokaba stadium, but they imposed a condition that the Applicant pay Marumo Gallants R10 000 000 (Ten Million Rands).

“The unlawful R10 000 000 demand was requested by the Marumo Gallants on the backdrop of an unlawful offer of R4 000 000 (Four Million Rands) and other incentives, that Marumo Gallants claimed to have received from Kaizer Chiefs to move the game from New Peter Mokaba stadium to Royal Bafokeng Stadium.” FarPost reports.
