LATEST: Gavin Hunt Gives Update On Ronwen Williams Saga

The potential move of Ronwen Williams from SuperSport United to Mamelodi Sundowns is probably the most talked about in the South African football at the moment. Matsatsantsa newly appointed coach Gavin Hunt has confirmed to iDiski Times that Williams is not at SuperSport as the transfer is being finalised.

“Right now, as I stand right now, obviously, there’s been discussions. We know things are on the go. He’s not here. 2 & 2, put 1 & 1 together. Obviously, something’s has to happen,” he said

“Because he’s been a great servant for the club, for 19 years. I mean, I gave him his debut how many years ago? So you know, the opportunity has come for him and you can’t deny the opportunity that has been given. So I don’t know if anything’s been done, as we stand. And obviously, by the hour, by the minute things are happening, that’s all I can say really.”

WILLIAMS SPOTTED AT CHLOORKOP

SuperSport United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams was reportedly seen at Mamelodi Sundowns home in Chloorkop on Tuesday as the deal for his move from Matsatsantsa to cross-town rivals was being finalised. The talks have taken quite some time taking into account that the deal involves a Downs player who will move in the opposite direction.

According to Kick Off Magazine’s source, Williams is no longer at SuperSport. “No Ronwen is not at SuperSport, he’s at Sundowns,” a source told KickOff. “The deal between Ronwen and Mamelodi Sundowns should be done on Tuesday. Surely there’s a player from Mamelodi Sundowns coming here, but at this stage, I don’t know all the details.”
