Khune Extremely Determined To Make A Full Recovery!

A few days ago, Khune underwent a successful surgery on Thursday, and the Amakhosi goalkeeper is now looking forward to starting rehabilitation. The goalkeeper’s operation on his injured knee was successful, Khune had to undergo surgery to repair a damaged meniscus.

Due to the injury, Itumeleng Khune was forced to miss last weekend’s Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates after it was discovered that he had injured his knee.  Khune was called up for Bafana Bafana’s World Cup qualifier with Angola but he suffered a recurrence of a knee injury in training last week.

“Itu’s operation was a success. He will obviously have to go through rehab now before returning to action,” a source close to both the player and the club said.

Khune took to twitter a few days ago showing extreme signs that he is determined to make a full recovery….

At this stage, it is unclear how long Khune will be out for would be out for, but with Amakhosi set to three games before the end of this year, it is unlikely that the 28-year-old would kick a ball this year.

Chiefs are set to play Mamelodi Sundowns in the Telkom Knockout final on December 16.
