Lebese absence a worry for Khompela

George Lebese limped off the pitch in Kaizer Chiefs 0-0 draw againsty Sundowns at the weekend. The injury proved worrisome to Amakhosi fans but the glamour boys medical team confirmed Lebese would only be out for two weeks.

A fortnight might appear as little, but Steve Khompela should be sweating over the unavailability of a player that has scored five goals this season, making him Chiefs top scorer.

Lebese’s absence will be a big blow for Khompela who appears short of options up front, given his strikers inability to convert clear cut chances. Kaizer Chiefs clash with Bloemfentein Celtic this Sunday and Khompela is hoping for a victory after the stalemate against Sundowns.
