This Is How the PSL Player Transition Programme Will Work! NSL sponsors MultiChoice and the PSL had announced yet another new innovation.

The PSL Player Transition Programme was unveiled earlier this week at a media briefing. The PSL described the logistics of how this will work.

This programme will only run between January 2022 and July 2022, when the current season will come to a closing. They will focus on the players aged between 28 years old and 35 years old.

“The Premier Soccer League (PSL) and MultiChoice have partnered to produce an inventive programme, designed to help players find success off the playing field once their careers conclude.” The association said in a statement.

“The PSL Player Transition Programme focuses on current PSL players aged between 28 and 35 years and aims to equip and empower them with the necessary knowledge and skills to transition into a role in sport after they have retired.

“Set to run from January 2022 until June 2022, the programme will prepare these players for the reality of retirement from playing professional sport, empowering them to make a meaningful impact in the world and to leave a legacy.”

The PSL will work with Sandton based educational institution, GIBS (Gordons Institute of Business Science).

“The Gordon Institute of Business Science has been selected as the educational partner for the PSL Player Transition Programme.

“GIBS will be responsible for creating and updating an online educational platform, tutoring, and developing the framework for the onboarding and training of participants.

“The virtual programme, managed by GIBS, will involve a learning environment that considers the demands of the training and competition programme of the players. It will include four core modules that all participants will complete over the duration of the programme. These are business fundamentals, information technology, financial management and leadership.

“The participants will also choose two electives in each of the two additional training blocks offered as part of the programme.” They spoke.

GIBS will offer a variety of modules for players to select and possibly ensue post football. This Is How the PSL Player Transition Programme Will Work!
