Manqoba Mngqithi Denies He Was Deadbeat Father to Daughter Asavela Mngqithi! The Masandawana head coach has been called one by her.

Asavela Mngqithi, actress and daughter to Manqoba Mngqithi, has astonishingly come out to say that her father was a deadbeat to her. The Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach has come out to absolutely quash these allegations.

The former Isibaya actress took to social media to announce that she does not owe any of her success to her father. She claimed that he did nothing for her in her life.

As a result, she does not want her father Manqoba to claim any credit for the successes of her life.

“Whatever I have/will still achieve, never credit all my hard work to Manqoba Mngqithi and his money,” she wrote on her social media pages.

“Ngihluphekile, ngaphumelela engekho (I suffered financially until I made it without his support). If you have an opinion or inkinga ngicela uyidle (if you have a problem with that, just eat it). Love and light, I guess.

The usually reserved Mngqithi addressed these statements from her daughter.

“I don’t want to air my dirty laundry to the public,” Mngqithi told Daily Sun.

“I want to protect my daughter, but at this point in time I must clear the air. I’m aware of Asavela’s claims and there is no truth to them.

“From day 1, I took care of Asavela, and I paid damages to her family which is why she used my surname. When she was 14, she lived with me.

“I paid for her school fees from primary until tertiary,” he added.

The actress further went to deny his denial!

“I never finished my degree at AFDA because I owed fees and I informed him about this, but he refused to pay”
