PICS! Mokoena And Modiba Enjoy Some Fun In The Dubai Desert

Mamelodi Sundowns players are still in the off-season as they started their break late while other clubs had already begun resting. Sundowns and Marumo Gallants were the last teams to be active in the league as they were still preparing to play the Nedbank Cup final.

Masandawana are not yet back for the pre-season and that has given more time to Aubrey Modiba and Teboho Mokoena who are in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. They have been showing off on social media as they are experiencing a lot that we don’t have in this country.

They recently posted pictures while at Red Sand Desert. Take a look below!

THE DUO’S CONNECTION ON THE FIELD

The duo’s friendship comes a long way from when they were still playing together at SuperSport United. But Modiba joined Masandawana in 2020 from their cross-town rivals SuperSport United and has lifted two league titles. He has been doing well whenever given a chance despite not being a regular.

Modiba has been doing well whenever given a chance but he’s been the second choice in the left-back position with Lyle Lakay the senior player being the most preferred.

Meanwhile, Mokoena is still a newbie at the club as he only signed in January following a long and successful stay at Matsatsantsa who granted him blessings to chase greener pastures. In just less than six months since he put pen to paper at Masandawana, Mokoena has already lifted two cups in DStv Premiership and Nedbank Cup.

Both players have played for Bafana Bafana numerous times, however, have been out of favour under the leadership of Hugo Broos who hasn’t utilized them frequently.

Last week of last week before he went on holiday, Mokoena was recognised by Free State Provincial Parliament for his contributions to football.

The Chief Whip of the National Council of Provinces, Mr. Seiso Mohai, hosted an event where he handed over signed Teboho Mokoena memorabilia to the Free State Legislature.
