PICS! See How Sundowns Coach, Players Spent Their ’67 Minutes’ Campaign

Yesterday was a Mandela Day and many people took their “67 minutes” to offer any service to others in need. Football players were also out to do the same. Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena and players Peter Shalulile, Aubrey Modiba, Brian Onyango, Kennedy Mweene including their former man Ramahlwe Mphahlele joined “67 Minutes with my football role model” campaign.

What was it about? This was put together by a model Tebo Mphahlele who invited these players to give speeches and mentorship to the youngsters.

“Had some sleepless nights trying to make this day possible and it finally came together so beautifully,” she wrote on her Instagram account. “The event was called ’67 Minutes with my Football Role Model’ in celebration of Mandela Day. The aim of this day was to was to bring young football players from my township Daveyton into one room with their football role models.

“In the 67 minutes, mentorship sessions and inspiring talks from their role models took place. To my sponsors @mcdonalds_za, @workshop17za, and my foundation @leadyoungsa and I wouldn’t have done this without you. Thank you.

“To the ‘Football role models’ that honoured my invitation today, thank you. May God truly bless you, y’all inspired so many young players today. @coach_rulani @ramaross305 @shalulilr13 @onyango36 @modiba16 @kennedy_k_mweene and Brian Onyango. Thank you,” she added.

SHALULILE SIGNS NEW CONTRACT WITH DOWNS

Sundowns this past weekend announced the extension of contract of Peter Shalule who has chosen to commit his future at Masandawana following two successful season since he was signed from Highlands Park.
