Supersport net five against Mounana.

Supersport United put five goals behind Mounana’s goalkeeper in an awesome display in a CAF Confederation Cup group stage clash.

Supersport got of to a good start and took the lead just five minutes after kickoff after defender Grant Kekana driiled the ball from close range after a poorly defended corner. Riyaad Pieterse was the star of the game after saving a penalty and several attempts.

Mounana however did not go down without a fight and got three goals of their own. Mounana were awarded a second penalty in the second half. However Pieterse guessed the right way and saved the penalty, unfortunately though Mounana’s player was able to score the rebound.

Matsatsantsa travelled without coach Stuart Baxter. Elsewhere Platinum Stars lost to Mbabane Swallows, the game ended in a disappointing 4-2 loss for Dikwena.

Mamelodi Sundowns will also be playing their CAF Champions League group stage match against AS Vita this afternoon.

Kickoff at 16:30 local time time.
