Telkom Knockout Opening Round Fixtures Revealed

Finally the long awaited list is here.

Kaizer Chiefs is set to host Maritzburg United in this year’s Telkom Knockout Round of 16, while the other Soweto Giants Orlando Pirates welcome Golden Arrows in their opening match which means both giants will be playing at home this year.

Defending champions of the TKO Mamelodi Sundowns will also be playing at home this year.

The Telkom Knockout draw for the 2016/17 competition was conducted earlier today at Wanderers in Johannesburg. Last season, Sundowns beat Chiefs 3-1 in the final and raised the trophy proudly at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium.

This season Sundowns is set to play against Polokwane City in hopes to defend the trophy. Check out the opening line up below…

Baroka FC v Platinum Stars

Orlando Pirates v Golden Arrows

Free State Stars v Bidvest Wits

Kaizer Chiefs v Maritzburg United

SuperSport United v Ajax Cape Town

Mamelodi Sundowns v Polokwane City

Highlands Park v Chippa United

The PSL will announce the dates, venues and times of the Telkom Knockout last 16 games in due course.
