Phala Receives An Award For The 2014/15 Player Of The Season

Thuso Phala, the SuperSport player walked away with a Player of the Season award at the club’s awards evening last night. Phala walked away with the top honour on the evening after a great season in the blue and white of Matsatsantsa a Pitori.

“I’m very honoured, very proud and very happy to get this award because it is the first time I receive an individual award” he said. “I’m very grateful to my team mates, to the coach and support staff from the club, for giving me the opportunity. Hopefully this will be a stepping stone moving forward” he added.

The player was also crowned United’s best player for his contribution of eight goals and 13 assists in all competitions. The 29 year old was also rewarded for his efforts with a four-year contract extension which means he will remain with the team until at least 2019.
