Is Tinkler following in Etrugal’s Footsteps?

Mushin Etrugal had an awesome season in the 2015/16 season with the then Mpumalanga Black Aces ( now Cape Town City FC), helping the team finish fourth on the log table after being in the title race for the majority of the season.

Then Orlando Pirates came knocking, the idea of working for a PSL giant like Orlando Pirates was to tempting. Etrugal thus jumped ship and joined the “sea robbers”. However things did not work out as he resigned from his position early on in the season.

Now it seems as if Eric Tinkler is taking the very same route that was Etrugal’s undoing, however he is not headed to Soweto but rather to Pretoria and will be joining Supersport United.

One would think after such a successful season, a coach would want to stay on and work on last season accomplishments, however such is not the case.

It remains to be seen whether Tinkler will make it at Supersport, only time will tell.
