Khune is known for his quick reflexes and his distribution which has been hailed as “the best you will see anywhere” by former Liverpool goalkeeper Sander Westerveld.

He previously played for Bay United, Free State Stars, Dynamos, Moroka Swallows, Supersport United, Bush Bucks, Maritzburg City, African Wanderers, Kaizer Chiefs, African Wanderers, Crystal Brains, Rebels FC, Royal Tigers, MBO Lions, Maritzburg United and Real Taj.

He now works as a goalkeeper coach for Maritzburg United.

Marlin was a participant at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He was South Africa’s first choice keeper at the 2006 African Nations Cup in Egypt and has so far been capped 16 times.

He kicks left-footed but throws right-handed.
