The Carling Black Label Knockout will see fans voting for their Man of the Match in each game. Tim Sukazi has expressed concern at this new format.

The TS Galaxy chairman believes that players from Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns will win the award because of their popularity. Each player will win an astonishing R100 000 for winning the competition.

“But then, the whole notion behind supporters voting for the Man of the Match is guaranteed. Chances are that if you play the big teams like Chiefs, Pirates, and Sundowns, you won’t have the Man of the Match,” Sukazi told members of the media.

“Even if you would have beaten them like we do in Mbombela, none of your players is Man of the Match.

“To me, it defies logic. It favours the big teams if supporters are to vote.

“The majority counts you know. They won’t vote for a player from Richards Bay or wherever.

“They will vote for their club player. So that to me, it’s a lowish point but overall I’m quite excited.” He concluded.
