Kaizer Chiefs won the match by virtue of two first half goals from Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana and Edmilson Dove. This win sees them consolidate their position in the top 4 of the DSTV Premiership.

“Again, you could see in the first 10 minutes, we were a little bit sleepy. They got their first chance. But in terms of the structure, we were ok, more especially in possession of the ball.” Zwane told SuperSport TV.

“But we could have been much better in terms of getting into the final third with more aggression. So, it gave them hope. Because I always say that when you play teams like [Golden] Arrows, with players who are comfortable on the ball, once you allow them time and space on the ball, they can easily hurt you.

“So, we wanted to put them under pressure and set those pressing traps and not to allow them to cut inside. Because we knew that they are going to overload.

“So, they overloaded on the side of Reeve [Frosler], but at first, we wanted to kill the game early. To push Reeve forward as well to push Sibiya to defend deep. Either Sibiya or Mmodi. So, we also wanted them to get tired.

“Then as soon as we get a goal then we can defend deep and wait for the right moment, to kill the game off. And you know, we managed to get a goal from a dead ball situation. Of which we had too many that we could have capitalised on. From the first half to the second half, we were just unfortunate that we couldn’t get a third one [goal].” He spoke.
