Arendse Out For Eight Weeks

Mamelodi Sundowns has been dealt a major blow with news that defender Wayne Arendse has been ruled out for between six and eight weeks with torn ligaments in his left ankle.The 32-year-old sustained the injury during the sundowns 1 all draw against KCC in their second leg Champions League qualifying clash.

This is a huge setback for Mamelodi Sundowns who take on Kaizer Chiefs in a PSL fixture this Saturday. However, Sundowns have a huge squad to select players from. Arendse, signed a new contract with Sundowns that will see him be with the Brazilians till 2020, with an option to renew his contract to a year in 2020.

Kaizer Chiefs will be without their star goalkeeper, Brilliant Khuzwayo who had an ankle surgery this passed Saturday, but Itumeleng Khune will be back from international duty and might lead the glamour boys out the tunnel. All eyes are set for this league decider game among other fixtures.
