  1. Hlompho Kekana is a product of Tshiamo Soccer Academy.
  2. Hlompho Kekana is by far the successful captain for Mamelodi Sundowns after lifting the CAF Champions league in 2016 for Sundown and the CAF Super Cup for Sundowns in 2017.
  3. The Zebediela born central midfielder is also a great right back player.
  4. He made his debut in 2004/05 season for Black Leopards.
  5. Hlompho Kekana has played for Supersport United and Bloemfontein Celtic before moving to Sundowns in 2011.
  6. He has won two PSL titles with Supersport United.
  7. Hlompho Kekana made his debut at Mamelodi Sundowns replacing Surpirse Moriri 2011.
  8. In 2016 kekana was nominated for a FIFA Puskas Award for his 65 yards strike against Cameroon in the national team.
  9. On 4 March 2012, his team set a remarkable record in the Nedbank Cup when they beat Powerlines FC 24-0, with Kekana scoring seven of the goals. Kekana fell short of the top ten list due to votes and was out of the shortlist.
  10. Kekana was conned R425000 by a woman in Pretoria who sold him a nonexistent McDonald franchise.
