10 Things You Don’t Know About Sibusiso Khumalo

Kaizer Chiefs defender Sibusiso Khumalo has been having a great run for Chiefs in the right back position. Khumalo is a transformer who one would argue plays three positions that being left back, central midfield and left winger. He has been in form and has been part of Steve Komphela’s starting line-up. Below are 10 things you do not know about Sibusiso Khumalo.

1. Sibusiso Khumalo is a product of Stars Africa Academy.
2. He has played for the likes of Moroka Swallows, Supersport United and Mamelodi Sundowns before arriving at Kaizer Chiefs.
3. Khumalo signed for Chiefs in July 2016. Out of all three PSL teams he has played for, Mamelodi Sundowns is the one team he played less games for. He played 16 games for sundowns in the three years he spent at Sundowns.
4. Mamelodi Sundowns were also chasing the services of the Durban born star but it was Amakhosi who impressed Khumalo.
5. Khumalo looks up to the late Gift Leremi who inspired him while he was still young at the Stars Africa Academy.
6. Khumalo is nicknamed Éish’ for continued frustration when he fails himself in the field.
7. Khumalo drives a Polo 1.6 and his favorite music is R&B and his favorite film is Italian Job.
8. Khumalo has 4 national caps  and has 4 South African under 20 caps under his belt.
9. Khumalo is a Wits University alumni.
10. Khumalo focuses on his football and off the field Khumalo is single and has been rumored to be studying.
