Hugo Broos Responds To Speculations About Leaving Bafana Bafana

In recent weeks, there have been speculations about Broos’ future with the SA football national team, with some reports suggesting he might be on his way out. Speaking on SABCSport Broos refuted these claims, stating his commitment to the national team and the love he has for South Africa as a country. “I love South Africa, I love everything – it won’t be perfect, but I’m not going anywhere,” Hugo Broos said as per Mazola Molefe.

Speculation swirls around Hugo Broos potentially departing, with suggestions of a return to Belgium to assume the role of Technical Director at Club Brugge. However, the SAFA President Danny Jordaan regarded the reports as nonsense stating that Broos is back in the country and he is back at work with the players and his technical staff.

“It’s absolute nonsense to say the coach has resigned,” Jordaan told IOL. “He returned to South Africa earlier this week and is hard at work with the team’s technical staff to prepare for the national team’s matches later this month. We are dealing with saboteurs who want to derail South African football.

“These people are not happy that our teams, Bafana Bafana and Banyana Banyana, have been successful. These diversionary tactics are aimed at disrupting our progress, and we have had to cope with these elements for the past few months. The latest disruption is spreading rumours that Safa’s CEO (Lydia Monyepao) has resigned. It is a blatant lie.”
