Bobby Motaung Says Kaizer Chiefs Will NOT Be Pursuing Kermit Erasmus! Amakhosi have been linked with the transfer of Romeo.

Kaizer Chiefs have been strongly linked with Mamelodi Sundowns striker Kermit Erasmus. Club manager Bobby Motaung has effectively ended any speculation of signing the player.

Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly open to listening to offers for the out of favour striker. Erasmus lost his number 11 shirt number to midfielder Marcelo Allende.

This led to speculation that he is on his way out. Kaizer Chiefs fans have since pestered the club to pursue his signature.

“Well… the technical stuff, everybody has put their heads together to find out if there is a need,” Motaung said on SAfm last night.

“We look at how many similar players we have or whether it is a different type of striker that we need… Those are the things that become technical.

“I understand that football fans want everything, they want Erasmus, they also wanted someone who is currently in Egypt. 

“They want this one – it’s normal because they’re wishing well for the club. But unfortunately, sometimes for the club there is technical staff. 

“There are people who analyse things and come up to us and say this is a need. Those decisions are not taken by myself alone, we sit down, and we analyse.” He spoke.
