Maritzburg United visit Cape Town City in the DSTV Premiership this afternoon. With three matches remaining, the side is looking forward to three vital cup finals.
Midfielder Travis Graham is wary of the season that they have had. However, he is proud of how his team has got themselves off the bottom of the table.
“It hasn’t been a pretty season for Maritzburg – ever since I came to the team it was pressure from the start,” he told MUFC media.
“But the team has grown so much, if you look back to where we were rock bottom of the log. The team has improved so much, we’ve got some vital points to be where we are today.
“But the season is not over yet, we need to finish the job and make sure that we are safe. We’ve got three cup finals and need to get maximum points from all of those games.” He added.
The Team of Choice defeated local rivals Golden Arrows in their last league encounter last week. They will be brimming with confidence as they take on Cape Town City.
“Maritzburg left-back Dan Morgan concedes City will be a tough nut to crack, but wants his team to focus on their own abilities and strengths.
“It’s a super important game. The good thing for us is it’s in our hands, we don’t have to rely on anyone else,” said the versatile Dan Morgan.
“They are a very good team, obviously they like to play. They have a lot of athletic ability like we do as well.
“There’s only so much you can concentrate on them, it’s about concentrating on us and doing what we do best and getting the three points and moving on from there.” He added.
