Mamelodi Sundowns wrapped up their season in typical fashion. They defeated Cape Town City 3-0 and finally got their hands on the much coveted DSTV Premiership trophy.
Lyle Lakay scored the opening goal with a stunning free kick. Striker Peter Shalulile scored a second-half brace to seal the 3-0 win for Sundowns.
They are officially the first team to win 4 league titles and the first winners of the DSTV Premiership. They were also the last winners of the ABSA Premiership.
