Matt Miazga on the verge of sealing Chelsea move

AMERICAN starlet Matt Miazga’s move to Chelsea is all but done after he flew into London to complete a medical.

SunSport revealed yesterday how the Blues were weighing up a reported £3.5million move for the 6ft 4ins centre-half.

Miazga, 20, has emerged as the New York Red Bulls’ rock in defence this season — and it has not gone unnoticed across the pond.

US media heavily linked the Stars and Stripes’ blocker with a move to the Premier League this week, with Chelsea emerging as early frontrunners.

Miazga has made 30 appearances for the Bulls this term, alongside Englishmen Shaun and Bradley Wright-Phillips, and made his international bow against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

And because he holds a Polish passport courtesy of his parentage, the youngster would have no problems obtaining a visa to make a move.
