5 reasons why Khama Billiat will be voted the 2015/2016 footballer of the year
- Consistency – Having had a stint with Ajax Cape Town before moving to Mamelodi Sundowns, Khama Billiat has never been as consistent as he has been this season.
- Finishing – previously Khama Billiat found himself in promising positions but in the current campaign, Khama has been lethal in front of goal placing him among the leading scorers in the psl.
- Focus – in the past Khama Billiat showed signs of brilliance but gossip magazines were often awash with news of indiscipline off the field. Billiat has however in the current campaign kept a cool head choosing to focus more on delivering for Amasandawana who are the league’s runaway leaders.
- Assists – Although Khama has been clinical in front of goal, the Zimbabwean midfielder remains one of the most unselfish players. Khama has been instrumental in providing goal scoring opportunity for team mate Leonardo Castro.
- Centre of attention – In Mamelodi Sundowns current campaign Khama Billiat has been the centre of attention, with the Zimbabwean player Amasandawana’s very own “Messi”. This makes Khama a strong candidate to scoop the South African footballer of the year accolade. Some may see it as too early to predict but given Khama’s current form, the Zimbabwean international is well poised for the big accolade.
