Alje Apologises To Premier Soccer League

Alje Schut, the Mamelodi Sundowns captain has apologised for the incident that got him into trouble with the Premier Soccer League. He was involved in an argument with the match officials, during Sundowns game against Mpumalanga Black Aces on the 8th of April at Mbombela Stadium.

“I would like to send out my sincere apology for the incident that occurred in the league match against Mpumalanga Black Aces.”

“Football is a sport played with great passion and emotions. A good result is very important for my team in that particular match  and when we felt aggrieved by some decisions from the referee, emotions took over.” he added.

Schut is expected to play for the Kozakken Boys in the Netherlands, while he was working on getting his coaching badges. He was ordered to pay a fine of R10 000 plus R14 000 for vat, while Sundowns got  a suspended fine of R20 000.
