Manyisa: “We Have To Keep On Fighting”
Orlando Pirates captain Oupa Manyisa has begged his team-mates to pull up their socks and return to their best against Polokwane City on Tuesday. Amabhakabhaka are looking to get back to winning ways, having played their last three games without a win, most recently drawing 1-1 against Mpumalanga Black Aces at the Orlando Stadium after consecutive losses, against Bloemfontein Celtic and Zamalek.
The Buccaneers will seriously in need of a team spirit booster ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup semi-final first-leg at home against Al-Ahly on Saturday.
“It won’t be easy. It has never been easy but we have to keep on fighting. We are used to this, playing so many games within a short space of time,” Manyisa told Soccer Laduma.
“We just have to adjust and make sure we collect maximum points. City are a good side and playing at home gives them motivation to go out and win but we are ready for them.
“We have forgotten about the Friday game against Aces and our focus is on (Tuesday’s) match against Polokwane City.”
