Bafana is set to face their West-African rivals in what is the first qualifying match for the 2018 Russia World Cup, the match is set to take place at Stade du 4 auot in Ougadougou on the 8th of October.

Rantie was initially called up by head coach Shakes, and is currently one of four Bafana internationals in the squad that plays abroad.

The reasons behind Rantie being withdrawn from the camp include the fact that he failed to report to camp on time.

It’s reported that Rantie failed to report to camp on time on the scheduled which was Sunday October 2nd, and was not present on the following morning to join the rest of the squad for official training.

“We thought in the spirit of encouraging team spirit and discipline, we must release Rantie from camp,” coach Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba was quoted.

“Rantie’s matter will now be handled by the Association for further disciplinary measures,” SAFA shares on their official website.
