FNB Varsity Cup great contributor to SA Football!

FNB Varsity Cup is a great platform to showcase South African football talent. MDC and Varsity Cup have been great platforms and alternatives to promote SA football.

There has been great football clubs that came out university level football. University of Pretoria is a great testament of a club that came from university level to compete in the to flight league in South Africa PSL.

FNB Varsity cup and MDC are great platforms to scout talent for PSL teams and for the national team. If South African football is to succeed then it must be diverse and senior players need to be challenged. In Ghana, young stars are constantly playing for the national team and that is the mentality South African football should adapt.

Community cups, varsity cup and other leagues should be the sourcing ground for our football to improve in South Africa. Shakes Mashaba brought on board youngsters to represent the nation and the youngsters performed and rose to the task. Youngsters like Keegan Dolly, Phumlani Ntshangase, Rivaldo Coetzee and more other youngsters. This is the spirit needed in SA.
