Black Leopard Coach Luc Eymael Throws In The Towel
Belgian coach Luc Eymael has officially resigned as head coach of Black Leopards with immediate effect to complete what has been a PSL coach merry go round and another stat to the PSL coaches’ casualty.
Eymael was left frustrated by the Lidoda Duvha’s reluctance to sign more players in the January transfer window.
Eymael who signed a two-year deal three months ago after returning to the country for the first time since leaving Free State Stars last season however cited personal reasons for his decision to leave the club.
“ I would like to thanks Black leopards for accepting my resignation for personal reasons , thanks to all the players who did their best , to my staff too and especially to the fantastic fans who will remain in my heart . I wish the club all the best for the second leg (round),” tweeted Eymael.
He was in charge of nine games across all competitions during his three-month stint with Lidoda Duvha.
Under the Belgian mentor’s watch, Leopards won three matches, lost four and drew the other two.
Eymael, had previously worked at Polokwane City and Free State Stars, leading the latter to the Nedbank Cup title in 2018.
Eymael resignation comes hot on the heels of Baroka FC coach Wedson Nyirenda having tendered his own resignation last week, a sign that the men in the dug out are facing too much heat in the kitchen and are opting out or being shipped out as this season is experiencing a high coach turn over for clubs in the Absa Premiership.
