Kaizer Chiefs Fire Assistant Coach Shaun Bartlett. It has been a busy couple of days with Kaizer Chiefs. Yesterday the club fired Coach Ernst Middendorp. This morning the club announced that assistant coach Shaun Bartlett has also been sacked.
The news comes after Chiefs lost the title to Mamelodi Sundowns on the last day of the season.
The Soweto giants released a statement on Thursday morning in which they thanked Bartlett for his services.
“We would like to once again thank both gentlemen for their service to Kaizer Chiefs over the last 21 months” said chairman Kaizer Motaung Snr.

The club went on to further state that they “wish Shaun Bartlett all the best in his future endeavours”. The announcement comes less than 24 hours after coach Middendorp was sacked. The two served Chiefs for 21 months.
In this 21 months, the men led Chiefs from a harrowing 9th place finish to almost winning the league and finishing 2nd to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Kaizer Chiefs will now look to replenish their technical staff with winning individuals.
Benni McCarthy, Gavin Hunt and Stuart Baxter are amongst the men all linked with the vacant Kaizer Chiefs managerial role. Fans are hoping for a local technical team after Kaizer Chiefs fire assistant coach Shaun Bartlett.
