Aubrey Ngoma Has First Training Sessions With Cape Town City After Returning!
Aubrey Ngoma Has First Training Sessions With Cape Town City After Returning! The former Sundowns man had a spell filled with mixed reviews in Chloorkop. Although attaining massive amounts of silverware, Ngoma was never able to cement his place in the first team. He’s now back with Cape Town City!
Aubrey Ngoma won the PSL Best Midfielder Award for the 2016/2017 season while with Cape Town City. That’s the place where Ngoma played his best football since leaving Tuks. The dynamic winger couldn’t replicate the form he showed for Tuks at Orlando Pirates.
It may be argued that Ngoma is just not a big game player. Not a big team player. He could be better served as the big fish in a small pond rather than a small fish in a big pond filled with other bigger fish.
Cape Town City announced the capture of Aubrey Ngoma yesterday. He’s been able to begin training sessions with the first team as of this morning.
The move came just a day after Mamelodi Sundowns announced the signing of Kermit Erasmus from Cape Town City. Romeo signed a 3-year contract with the reigning PSL champions. He provides yet another attacking option for both Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena.
Ngoma’s first taste of action could be against former side Orlando Pirates. The two sides face off in the MTN 8 at the Orlando Stadium on the 17th of October. Cape Town City will begin their DSTV Premiership campaign on the 24th of October.
PSL fixtures are yet to be announced for the cape side as Aubrey Ngoma has first training sessions with Cape Town City after returning!
