The Weekend Review Of The Premier League! The Premier League returned this weekend after a week of international football. After the last Premier League match day saw crazy results, it was intriguing to see what this round of fixtures would bring.
The weekend kicked off with the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. Everton and Liverpool played out to a thrilling 2-2 draw.
Liverpool were extremely keen on bouncing back after an embarrassing 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa last time out. Everton remain on top of the league, despite dropping points for the first time this season.
Manchester United comfortably dispatched off of Newcastle United. Solskjaer’s men ran out 4-1 winners at St. James’ Park.
Man United were also keen on bouncing back after a staggering 6-1 defeat to Spurs. Maguire, Fernandes, Wan-Bissaka and Rashford were all on target for the Red Devils.
Manchester City defeated Arsenal 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. Raheem Sterling’s first half goal was enough to see out Arsenal.
The Gunners could’ve grabbed a point had it been for better finishing. Sergio Aguero returned to the City starting XI for the first time since last season after knee surgery.
Spurs played out to a thrilling 3-3 draw at home to West Ham. Tottenham took an early 3-goal lead against the Hammers.
West Ham completed a stunning comeback through Manuel Lanzini’s strike. Gareth Bale missed a golden opportunity to snatch all three points for Spurs.
