Andile Mpisane Donates R500 000 towards the Fees of 56 Students! The Royal AM FC Chairman has decided to help students across South Africa for his birthday.
Andile Mpisane turned 20 years old on the 15th of March. He announced that for his 20th birthday he will help with the fees of 20 students across the country.
He proposed that he will assist 20 students with R10 000 each for their financial dispositions at their schools. This amounted to a whopping R200 000.
However, Mpisane came to the realisation that R200 000 simply wouldn’t be enough to help. The Royal AM Chairman has now upped the ante and raised the money to R500 000 which will accommodate 56 students across the country.
“Hello everyone
“Thank you to everyone who responded Royal AM Fees Must Fall Campaign. The response was overwhelming but my team managed to review ALL the applications and I am pleased to announce the beneficiaries that will be receiving funding for the 2021 academic year.
“Given the response we received, I realised that R200k was a drop in the ocean. I managed to allocate an additional R300k which brings our total to half a million rands which I’m dedicating to funding and additional 36 students. So in total we a have 56 beneficiaries.
“My team will be contacting each of the beneficiaries individually to advise on next steps. I wish you all the best with your academic year ahead.
“Lastly, thank you to everyone that supported this initiative and helped raise awareness. I’d like to encourage those who are able, to lend a helping and invest in the youth.” Andile Mpisane wrote on his Instagram.
