Sabelo Radebe Ecstatic To Make PSL Debut For Kaizer Chiefs! The youngster made his first team debut last week as they lost in Thoyandou.
Sabelo Radebe is extremely happy to have made his DSTV Premiership debut for Kaizer Chiefs. The 21-year-old came on in the second half as they lost to Black Leopards.
Radebe was promoted to the first team for Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of the current season. However, he spent the majority of the campaign captaining Kaizer Chiefs in the DSTV Diski Challenge.
The Chiefs juniors went as far as the semi-finals. They unfortunately lost to eventual winners AmaZulu on penalties.
“I have been waiting for this chance for a long time now,” he tells the club website.
“When I was given the news, I was excited and happy to finally showcase my abilities on the field for the senior team.
“Surprisingly I never had nerves or goosebumps,” comments Radebe
“It didn’t feel like a debut, I knew what was at stake at that moment and what I had to do.
“I have been told many times that when I get a chance to play, I must make sure that I perform, I can say for myself that I tried even though we lost,”
Radebe had the chance to equalise for Chiefs late into the game, but his effort was parried by the Leopards goalkeeper.
“I could have changed the score sheet with that opportunity I got but it wasn’t to be,” he reflects. Overall, many people are happy to see me trying my best.”
“To make it clear, I am not only ready for certain game, I am ready for the big leagues. It’s time!” the young forward concluded. Sabelo Radebe Ecstatic To Make PSL Debut For Kaizer Chiefs!
