Mamelodi Sundowns have completed the signings of six new players so far. They have signed Grant Kekana, Neo Maema, Divine Lunga, Palov Safranko, Thabiso Kutumela and Sifiso Ngobeni.
All 6 new players are currently at their Chloorkop training base. They are fitting in well with their new teammates.
“It feels good, it’s always nice moving into a new environment with familiar faces, I think [that] has also helped me to gel with the boys.” Grant Kekana told the club media.
“[Our friendship is] good, inside and outside of football because there are also a few community projects that we tend to partner up with. I think our relationship goes even beyond the football aspect.”, he said of his friendship with former SuperSport United teammate Aubrey Modiba.
“Coming to Mamelodi Sundowns has been a privilege.” Neo Maema has said.
“Settling in with the guys has been very good, it is very challenging, but the guys made it very easy for me to settle in.” he added.
The attack minded player has been able to link up with former Bloemfontein Celtic players at the club.
“There are quite a lot of guys that I made friends with, like Mshishi (Themba Zwane) and Aubrey Modiba just to mention a few.
“Lyle Lakay and Thapelo Morena (Both former Bloemfontein Celtic players) are the guys that have shown me around, we [have always been] connected from Celtic, we had a good relationship and [we are] still building something strong.” The excited 26-year-old said.
One of the other new signings at the club Divine Lunga has also expressed pleasure at joining Mamelodi Sundowns.
“I am settling in well, the guys are treating me well, they have welcomed me here in a good way. Some of the players like to make jokes and I think that’s how I’m jelling in because I am that person who likes to laugh.
“I don’t talk much but when the guys crack some jokes, I am going to laugh and talk with them.”
