Football Fans React to The Purchase of Bloemfontein Celtic! Yesterday the Dr Irvin Khoza announced that Royal AM had indeed purchased Siwelele.
The football fraternity has not taken kindly to the sale of Bloemfontein Celtic. This is because fans fear for the disappearance of their 51-year history.
Phunya Sele Sele owner Max Tshabalala had run the club into bankruptcy. The financial situation at the club was so bad that they were forced to sell.
This is something that the Siwelele faithful is completely aware of. However, the manner of the sale is what brings them so much distress.
The club has now relocated to Kwa-Zulu Natal to form part of the Royal AM setup. This incredible transaction has happened only a few days away from the official kick off the DSTV Premiership this afternoon.

Royal AM will take on Swallows FC in their DSTV Premiership opening game this Sunday. The club still must sort out incredible amounts of admin within the space of a few days.
