AFCON Preview- Egypt Looking Forward to Titanic Clash in Semi-Final! The Pharaohs play against the Indomitable Lions of Africa.

Egypt face hosts Cameroon in their AFCON semi-final tonight. The most decorated African team is looking forward to potentially making it to yet another final.

The Pharaohs have the opportunity to win a record extending 8^th African crown. But, before they can look that far, they have to get the better of hosts Cameroon who will have the advantage of playing at the Olembe stadium, filled with home supporters.

The Egyptians have enjoyed a slow and steady rise in this edition of AFCON. They suffered defeat to Nigeria at the very beginning of the tournament.

Afterwards, Egypt defeated Cote d’Ivoire and Morocco to make it to the semi-final. Mohamed Salah produced a Man of the Match performance against Morocco in the quarterfinal.

“To reach the semi-finals is a reward for us.” Experienced coach Carlos Queiroz told the media. 

“Facing hosts Cameroon is tough as they play very good football. We want to offer the world a pleasant match between two great African teams.

“We are ready for this semi-final. It is true that we have played two consecutive matches with extra-time, but we remain ready to play a very good match.

“We have the right team for this kind of games.” He spoke.
