Cape Town City’s Players Swag Outfits For Annual Player Awards
Cape Town City FC were hosting the players annual awards this past weekend and the troops were in casual swag outfits this time around. Hugo Marques and Taariq Fielies won big on the day.
Marques joined City at the start of this season and had outstanding performances, earning him a regular spot in the starting line up. He was awarded with a Player of the Season accolade. “An exceptional season defined by professionalism and humility. Truly remarkable,” tweeted Cape Town City.

Player of the Season award may have gone to the Angolan goalkeeper, however, the Citizens’ players thought that Taariq Fielies did well enough to get more votes than anyone from his teammates as he was presented with the Player’s Player of the Season award. “An award for the best team player voted by their fellow players. What a season Tara,” tweeted Cape Town City.
Despite joining the club only in January, the Cameroonian midfielder, Brice Ambina did well enough in his first six months to get a recognition as the best young player of the season. “The Cameroonian midfielder joined the club in January and produced a series of scintillating performances, in a breath-taking 2022. Here’s to many more,” Cape Town City wrote on Instagram.
The Citizen’s award went to the former Bloemfontein Celtic player Relebogile Mokhoane who joined the Cape Town based-club in July 2021. “This award honours a new member of the club that instantly represents the club’s values of family and hard work. Proud of you KG,” the club wrote on Instagram.
