Yaya Toure Enjoys Wildlife In Mzansi! Have A Look!

Shining on the global stage was in his blood as Yaya Toure was one of the most consistent players in the world in his prime. He was named in the World best XI by FIFA numerous times.

What is Toure doing in SA?

He’s currently in South Africa as he touched down for Heineken cheers to all programme with UEFA Champions League taking place over the past weekend.

He posted pictures of himself enjoying a ride in the wildlife area and seeing different animals. The whole world knows how rich the African continent is when it comes to animals and Yaya attested.

“A great day in South Africa enjoying wildlife,” he tweeted.

“Africa is blessed with such incredible animals. Let’s protect them and enjoy their beauty.”

Toure emerged as a young star at Asec Mimosas in his home country – Ivory Coast. Belgium-based club Beveren spotted his talent and signed him before he was transferred to Metalurh Donetsk.

He went on to sign for Olympiacos who sold him to Monaco after a year. FC Barcelona landed him in 2006 and that’s where he became a global star.

Sharing a dressing room with the greatest names in the world of football including Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi, and Carles Puyol would only better him.

In 2010, Toure signed for Manchester City on a five-year deal. The move saw him teaming up with his brother Kolo Toure who also joined City in 2009 from Arsenal. Toure played a huge role in helping City triumph their first Premier League title in 2012.

In May 2018, Toure left City returning to his old team Olympiacos before he joined Qingdao Huanghai in 2019. In terms of international football, he featured for The Elephants 101 times and scored 19 goals. In 2015 he won the Africa Cup of Nations with the national team as a captain after defeating Ghana in penalties.
