PICS! MaMkhize Represents SA In America’s NBA Finals
We all saw Royal AM owner Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize traveling overseas last week after the completion of the DStv Premiership season.
MaMkhize said she was tired of winter and decided to chase summer. At first, she didn’t reveal where exactly she was heading but we have found out that she’s in America.
“When I’m in America, I’m always on the go! I’ve always got people to see, places to experience and today was nothing different,” she wrote on her Instagram account.
“I had a blast walking the streets of San Francisco as I made my way to Chase Center to catch game two of NBA Finals.

“My heart was in content with pride and joy as I raised the South African flag hight at Chase Center. There are no words to describe the amazing atmosphere I experienced at the arena. Thank you NBA and a great come back from Golden State Warriors”
Perhaps, she really needed that break after a hectic season where she would always be found on the stands cheering on the boys wherever they play.
MaMkhize’s Royal AM qualified for CAF Confederation after they finished the season in position three. Mkhize says they went beyond their targets as they achieved what they never planned to.
“Success is not planned but as I’ve always said this year, we wanted to save our status and we ended up being in the top two or three mix,” MaMkhize said.
“The initial plan for next season was the top eight, and now we don’t know where we are going to end up. Our intention is to be in the top eight, but what I can say is that we are not here to add numbers.
“I think our biggest lesson for this season is that we must play every game as if it’s a cup final and not take anything for granted.”
She also wrote on social media giving gratitude to players and coaches. “The soccer season is finally over and we have a lot to be thankful for as a club,” MaMkhize wrote on social media.
“As the president of the club I’m particularly proud of my team for achieving great results in our debut season in the PSL.

“The highlight of the season for me has to be our last seven games where all our defence players were injured and we were only left with the evergreen CAPTAIN and we had to convert the defensive midfielder to become central defence and they came in and fought for the badge like soldiers.
“Royal AM words cannot begin to describe how proud I am of you, you have done extremely well and surpassed all expectations. Next season we are coming back bigger and stronger. I love you all bafana bam.”
