Agent: It’s ‘First’ Time Ahly Publicize Their Meeting With Mosimane

Pitso Mosimane‘s agent Moira Tlhagale says it’s the first time they see Al Ahly publicizing a meeting with the coach.

Following all the criticism on Mosimane courtesy of losing a CAF Champions League final to Wydad Casablanca last week, the club announced that they had a meeting with him today.

Since Mosimane is in Morocco completing his CAF Pro License, they had a zoom meeting to “discuss some points regarding the first team’s preparations for the upcoming period” according to the club’s website.

However, Tlhagale says they’re not worried about the meeting. “It is a normal practice that the club will have a meeting with a coach. I must say it’s the first time for us to see a club publicizing the meeting with Pitso Mosimane,” she told Newzroom Afrika.

“We are not concerned about anything regarding the meeting. The coach has played 94 games with Al Ahly and has been undefeated in 88% of the games. The coach and his technical team have done well.

“The contract extension was signed and is in effect. The club confirmed on their website and we also announced this in March this year.

“Our relationship with the club is not hostile, they respects the coach and we are humbled that they have given him an opportunity to manage a team of this magnitude.”

“But what I have seen is there is constant negativity, but not from all Al Ahly supporters and media. It is normal that not everyone likes what you do but for us the concern is the narrative that tries to push the Coach as someone who is useless at what he does.”

“For us we are saying that the numbers speak for themselves. He has done incredibly in the last 20 months. Pitso Mosimane has only lost 9 games. The results speak for themselves.”

Moira slams Pitso’s critics

Recently, Tlhagale expressed her disappointment seeing how Mosimane has been criticised despite so much success he brought to the Egyptian giants.

“It is quite disheartening that a person can do so much but people are never really happy,” Moira said as per KingFut.

“I don’t know their reasons, but I believe coach Pitso Mosimane has done extremely well.

“Having said that, it is important to make it clear it is not all Al Ahly supporters who have been critical.

“Coach Pitso has been well received and supported by most Al Ahly supporters who appreciate his contribution to the team and the seven titles he has achieved in less than 20 months.

“It is disheartening there is constant negativity from people who are always insinuating the coach is about to be fired each time he plays a game.”
