Kaizer Chiefs full back Sifiso Hlanti is a big fan of motor vehicles. So much so that he has ventured into a scrapyard business fixing and providing car parts to customers.
It is no secret that Choppa is a big fan of cars. So, it made sense for him to work with cars when he is not being a full-time player.
Footballers are always advised to think of their finances after they retire, as life won’t be the same. There is a plethora of former South African players who are now broke because they couldn’t save up for life after the game.
Modern footballers seem to all invest in business while still playing. This is because by the time they hang up their boots, they can walk into an already established business, which they built.
For Hlanti, it seems he has chosen to work with demoralised cars.
The left back has only recently returned to full match fitness. He had suffered a horrific and lengthy Achilles’ tendon injury which kept him out for a long while.
“It wasn’t great at all after being side-lined for such a long time,” Hlanti had revealed to the media.
“There was a bit of a struggle, taking into the point that it was so sad for me.
“Clearly, I love the game. And at some stage since the incident happened, I felt different.
“But at the same time, it was up to me to deal with the situation.
“It was one of those. But I am grateful that I am back, especially after being out for six to seven months.
“It’s an honour. And I’m happy to be back.”
