Lucas Radebe Not Happy with Molefi Ntseki as Kaizer Chiefs Head Coach! The former defender has expressed his views with Amakhosi’s decision.
Kaizer Chiefs announced Molefi Ntseki as their head coach last week. former defender Lucas Radebe believes there were better options available.
Amakhosi had pursued Nasreddine Nabi form most of the close season. However, a breakdown in contract negotiations meant that they could not get their man.
Instead, they opted to go with Head of Technical and Youth, Molefi Ntseki. Former head coach Arthur Zwane has been demoted to assistant coach.
“I thought we were going to get somebody better,” Radebe told the media, as per SABC Sport.
“Not that Ntseki is not good enough, but I don’t think he’s proven enough to be a quality coach for a big club like Kaizer Chiefs. It’s a mismatch.
“I might be wrong.
“I think for me a club as big as Kaizer Chiefs you need someone who’s going to be quality in terms of coaches with a great reputation. I think with Molefi Ntseki he’s been there; he’s been with the national team, I’m not saying that he won’t make an impact, he will make an impact but for a club like Kaizer Chiefs you need a coach that will actually change the players individually and make them better.
“Most of the time we always want to buy ready-made players and take a player from Sundowns and bring them here who’s quality, but can you take him to the next level?
“That’s the kind of coach that this club needs.” He spoke.
