Bafana Bafana Not Worrying Rivaldo Coetzee! The defensive midfielder revealed he is not concerned about the national team at the moment.

Rivaldo Coetzee hasn’t represented Bafana Bafana in some time now, due to injuries. He has stated that his main aim is to remain fit and play as many games as possible.

Riva made his national team debut as a 17-year-old. He was touted as the next captain of the team. 

However, a couple of long-term injuries have really deterred his growth at international level. It’s for this reason that the defensive midfielder is really keen on repaying the faith shown to him by Mamelodi Sundowns and focusing on remaining fit.

“My focus is on the team and to play as many games as I can,” Coetzee spoke. 

“What happens at Bafana is up to the coach. I can’t really think about that, all I can control is my performances and to repay the faith the technical team has shown in me.

“I feel appreciated here at the club. Look it has been a while since I’ve been in the Bafana set-up but as I’ve said my main aim is to be fit and play as many games as I can. 

“I’ve been out for about a year which is too long, now I have to be fit.”
