PSL Confirms Nedbank Cup Quarterfinal Fixtures and Venues

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has officially announced the dates and venues for the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals, with a surprising venue choice for Kaizer Chiefs’ upcoming clash. The matches are set to take place on the weekend of 8 and 9 March.
Pirates to Face SuperSport in Polokwane
Defending champions Orlando Pirates will travel to Polokwane to face SuperSport United on Saturday, 8 March. The highly anticipated clash will be held at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, kicking off at 15:00.
Chiefs’ Quarterfinal Moved to Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium
In a surprising move, Stellenbosch FC’s home fixture against Kaizer Chiefs has been scheduled to take place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha, with kick-off at 18:00 on the same day.
This decision is a disappointment for Stellenbosch fans, who had hoped to see their team take on Amakhosi in the Western Cape. The recent league match between the two sides at Athlone Stadium was a sold-out event, but it appears that both Athlone and DHL Stadium are unavailable for the Nedbank Cup fixture.
Sundowns Await Opponent for Late Saturday Clash
Later on Saturday, reigning DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns will take on the winner of the encounter between Sekhukhune United and Milford FC. This match comes after Royal AM’s expulsion from the competition, and it will be played at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium at 20:00.
Sunday Showdown for Durban City and Marumo Gallants
The quarterfinal action will wrap up on Sunday, 9 March, with Nedbank Cup surprise package Durban City taking on Marumo Gallants at Chatsworth Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00.
Tickets for all quarterfinal matches will be available at TicketPro outlets for R60, with the PSL set to announce their availability soon. Fans can now look forward to an exciting weekend of cup action as teams battle for a place in the semifinals.
