Rulani Mokwena Conducting Special Training Sessions for Wydad Attackers

With just seven matches remaining in the Botola Pro Inwi, Wydad Casablanca head coach Rulani Mokwena has intensified his efforts to secure CAF Champions League qualification by implementing specialized training sessions for his attacking players.
According to reports, the South African tactician has been conducting extra drills with the likes of Cassius Mailula, Thembinkosi Lorch, and other forwards in an attempt to enhance their effectiveness in front of goal. This follows Wydad’s recent struggles in attack, having played out consecutive goalless draws against COD Meknes and RS Berkane.
Despite a shaky start to his debut season in Morocco, Mokwena has managed to steady the ship, guiding Wydad to second place on the league table. However, with competition for continental qualification heating up, he is now placing particular emphasis on attacking movements, positioning, and finishing.
Reports suggest that the former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns coach has been drilling his forwards on how to exploit defensive gaps, improve passing combinations in the final third, and convert goal-scoring chances with greater efficiency. These efforts come ahead of Wydad’s crucial encounter against FUS Rabat, a side they narrowly defeated 1-0 earlier in the season.
Mokwena will be eager for a similar result this time around as he looks to cement Wydad’s place among Africa’s elite clubs once again.
