PUMA & Manchester City Unveil 25/26 Home Kit – Featuring the Iconic Sash for the First Time Ever

For the first time in Manchester City’s rich history, the club’s Home kit is getting a bold makeover — and it’s one South African fans are going to love. In a fresh twist, PUMA and Manchester City have introduced the legendary diagonal ‘sash’ design, a feature that has long appeared on away kits, onto the 2025/26 Home jersey.

The result? A striking blend of past and future. With its signature sky-blue base and bold white sash, the new Home jersey brings back memories of City greats like Mike Summerbee, Colin Bell, and Francis Lee, while reimagining their legacy for a new generation of supporters.

This sash isn’t just a design detail — it’s a powerful tribute to City’s legacy. Fans who know their history will remember the sash from legendary away kits in the 1970s. This season, it makes its Home debut, creating a visual bridge between classic football and today’s fast-paced, modern game.

In celebration of the launch, City and PUMA released a playful short film directed by Glenn Kitson, featuring stars like Erling Haaland, Manuel Akanji, Oscar Bobb, and Alex Greenwood — all taking part in a mock talent show hosted by UK comedy favourite John Thompson. Shot in Clayton, just around the corner from the Etihad Stadium, the video captures the heart of City: its people, its humour, and its community.

The kit is available in two versions:

• The Authentic jersey – worn by the players – is crafted with PUMA’s ULTRAWEAVE fabric, built for elite-level performance with reduced weight and friction.
• The Replica jersey offers a more relaxed fit, ideal for everyday wear or those matchday braais with the crew. Both versions feature dryCELL sweat-wicking tech, keeping fans and players cool and comfortable – whether on the pitch or in the stands.
