A well-placed insider told Soccer Laduma that while there have been discussions behind the scenes, no formal offers have been submitted as yet. “Elias was busy with family matters. He is going back on Sunday, and that’s the truth. There are teams that are interested in the player and the parties are busy talking. However, nothing formal has happened yet. He is still part of the team,” the source confirmed.

Mokwana, who rose to prominence with Sekhukhune United before sealing a high-profile move to Esperance last year, has quickly become one of South Africa’s top football exports.
